Thursday June 8 the CKF Construction Super Late Model Series was in Lakeland Florida for the USA 100. 19 drivers signed in to do battle on the high banks of USA Speedway. Jake Watson would grab the pole in qualifying with a time of 20.306 just edging the #10 of Tucker Minter by just .038 seconds. They would lead the field to green where Watson jumped out to the early lead. The racing was hard and fierce as the first 80 laps of the race would go green. Watson would give up the race to Minter for just 7 laps before moving back by him. Justin MacDuff would run third as he battled Brian Rogers Jr for the podium spot. Rogers Jr would get by on lap 60 moving the Mountain Dew Toyota to third. Points leader Scott Naslund started 14th as he would bring the train of Al Smith Jr, Erik Haag and Jim McIntyre through the field. The only yellow would come out on lap 80 as the HAAG TV Ford would get loose off of four to slow the field down. On the restart it was Watson jumping on the loud pedal first and would not look back to pick up the win on his very first try in the CKF Construction Super Late Model Series. Minter would finish second followed by Brian Rogers Jr.
Next week the series heads to Stafford Speedway in CT.
