Officials from Upstate Racing League (URL) and JaySkinz.com Sim Racing League (JSRL) are proud to announce a partnership that will see two series competing under one roof. Three races are in for the URL Super Sprint Series. The JSRL Southern Extreme Sprint Car Series has challenged the Northern based URL Super Sprint Series to a co-series which will be held Sunday nights and follow the remaining URL Super Sprint Schedule.
Points for the URL Super Sprint series will continue to be calculated as before. There will be a separate points series and awards for the URL vs JSRL series! We caught up with URL owner Al Smith Jr who said: “this will be a home run for both leagues and should be fun for the drivers which is our number one goal.” Racing times will be adjusted to help accommodate all drivers.
Race nights will be Sunday’s with practice starting at 8:15 pm est (7:15 pm ct) with a half hour warm up session before the track will be reworked for group qualifying. Qualifying will be followed by heats, the dash and b-main. Track will be reworked from hot laps back to 15% usage and will carry through the b-main. A-Main track will start between 60-69% used and will be determined by the last digit of fast time in group qualifying.
To participate, drivers need to sign up at ww.upstateracingleague.com/sign-up-360-sprints/ Once signed up, drivers will get a league tab invite to the URL Super Sprints.
