Sunday September 10th the URL vs JSRL Sprint Car Series invaded Eldora Speedway for 30 laps of racing. Tim Smith showed his muscle early by grabbing quick time and winning his heat. Ryan Pace came into the event as the points leader would he leave Eldora with it? Smith jumped out to the lead early where the race would go green until the 9 of Alex Orians would jump the cushion causing him to flip and collect the 20 of Justin MacDuff and the 10 of Brett Bartels ending all three of their nights. On the restart it was Smith who would jump back out front as the racing mid pack was fierce. The next yellow would be for Bruce Hilton who had a helping hand off the front bumper of the 96 of Smith Jr which would also collect Wayne MacDuff III ending his night along with Hilton’s. On the restart Smith jumped back out front but the green was short lived when Ryan Pace would get the wall off of 2 collecting the 87 of Bruce Jones ending both their nights. In the end it was Tim Smith holding on to win his first ever URL vs JSRL start and claimed the 30 lap event victory. Corey Zatynski would finish second folled by Chris Brenner. Jim Vig would be the hard charger after starting 19th and finishing 9th.
The series heads to Volusia this Sunday then the cars and stars will compete Tuesday and Thursday in the Fall Classic at Williamsgrove before heading to Georgia to race Lanier Raceplex.
