Week two of the White Knuckle Clothing Inc Home Track Series saw five UMP’s in the pits for their 35 lap feature. Matt Hoeft would set quick time in the final qualifying session of the season for the series as line ups will be set by handicapping. Hoeft and Brett Bartels led the field to the green flag. Al Smith Jr would hang on to the duo for the first 10 laps then fade. Hoeft and Bartels would continue to battle until the only yellow of the race would fly for the slowing 96 of Smith. Hoeft would win the race with Bartels second and Wayne MacDuff III rounding out the podium for the 2nd straight week.
Week two for the White Knuckle Clothing Inc Super Sprints was held at the USA Speedway where 15 of the best sprint car drivers signed in at the gate. Michael Sheridan with his UWU Motorsports entry would set quick time in time trials over teammates Chris Brenner and Corey Zatynski earning the time trial bonus points.
In heat one it was the number 5 of Brett Strickler that would lead the field to the green with his teammate Chuck Hayes to his outside. Hayes would run into issues causing him to pull into the pits. Strickler would go onto win the heat over quick timer Michael Sheridan and Corey Zatynski putting themselves into the dash.
In heat two Brett Bartels and Tim Smith led the field to the green flag. Bartels would make contact with the turn four wall knocking the front suspension out of the car. Chris Brenner who started 4th would take the lead from Smith and never look back on his way to the win. Smith would finish second and Nate Davis would round out the top three.
Next up on the speedway was the five lap dash where Brett Strickler and Chris Brenner would lead the field of six to the green. Strickler would jump out to the early lead but a power move around the bottom would put Brenner to the point where he would not look back. Nate Davis would work his way around Strickler with a massive slide job which would allow the 38 Tim Smith into third.
The 25 lap feature event Brenner and Nate Davis would lead the field to the green flag where Brenner would take control of the race as the pack raced and slide jobbed each other. The first yellow would be for the 5 of Brett Stricker and the 38 of Tim Smith would make contact while battling for third collecting the 57 of Corey Zatynski. Once the green came back out Davis was glued to the back bumper of Brenner. Brenner would miss the bottom of the speedway which allowed Davis around him. Smith Would also work around the 84 of Brenner. The second yellow would be for a sideways Chris Brenner who was able to save it and keep going but not without making contact. Davis would not be denied over a couple more restarts as Brenner put the pressure on him. Davis became the second different winner in as many weeks of Brenner and Tim Smith rounding out the top three. Next week the series heads to Lanier Raceplex for a 50 lap main event.
