Sunday July 30th was a qualifying event like no other. With the rapidly approaching Fall Classic which will be held on September 20-21 the league held a qualifying race. 40 laps would be the distance and it was an all Alex front row as Alex Bergeron and Alex Orians would lead the field tot he green flag. The first yellow would fly as the 72 of Ray Farlow slammed the outside of turn 1-2 hard. He luckily walked away but his car had seen better days. On the restart Bergeron took off again as Ryan Pace would move into third behind Orians as they would start to battle. A late race yellow would fly when the 11 of Eric Petrie would go for a wild ride after making a high side pass on Al Smith Jr. Pace would now find himself behind the leader, Bergeron, and would apply pressure but couldn’t find a clean way around him and Alex Bergeron would go on to pick up the win and earn a guaranteed starting spot in Wednesday nights portion of the Fall Classic. Pace would settle for second and Alex Orians rounded out the field.
