With the inaugural Les Enterprises MP Roy In All-Star Race just a little over a month away we have some new details on this race. The first rule of eligibility for this race is that all drivers must be active in the series as of this season. Second, the top 12 in points are going to be guaranteed starters for the race. The top 12 will be determined after the Kingsport Tire & Auto Center 125 at Martinsville Speedway on 12/15. So after reading this, you may be asking yourself: “what about the drivers on the outside of the top 12?” Great question! We will be having 2 ways for drivers not in the top 12 in points to get locked into the field of 16. We will hold a 20 lap showdown race that will lock in the top 3 finishers from that race. The 4th and final spot will be determined based on a fan vote!
Next is the where and how. On December 29th, the race night will begin at 9pm with the Showdown 20. It will be 20 laps of racing for everyone not already locked into the main event. The track? Why it is the 1 mile speedway in the Granite State, the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The All-Star Race Format:
Segment 1 will see the 16 cars lined up based on time trials.
Segment 2 will be a complete field invert of segment 1
Segment 3 will be a complete field invert of segment 2
After the three segments the driver with the lowest points total will be crowned the inaugural All-Star winner and will receive the trophy! Each position is worth that amount of points. So 1st place finish is worth 1 point, 2nd worth 2 points and so on. Will you win the All-Star Race and the trophy?
